Closed Circuit
Television is often referred to as CCTV.
CCTV is a visual surveillance tool
designed for monitoring a variety of environments and
activities. CCTV systems typically involve a fixed communications
link between cameras, monitors and PCs; this is unlike
broadcast television where any remote control receiver
that is correctly tuned in, can pick up the signal from
the airwaves. CCTV is inaccessible by any outside receiver
not directly tuned in with the hardware, therefore eliminating
the threat of data corruption or theft.
At System Force IT we continue to push the boundaries
of CCTV by investing in the latest technology ensuring
that all are CCTV products are class leaders.
The limits of CCTV are constantly extending; by using
a Digital Video Recorder (DVR), the information gathered
through the Camera is stored on a hard drive, making
it accessible for replaying when necessary, emailing
and also sending through SMS, thus making it more effortless
than using a Tape system.

A DVR is the recording device which
stores all the images onto an internal Hard Drive from
up to 32 CCTV cameras and view all 32 on a display at
once. The DVR will take analogue images from a CCTV
camera, digitise them and store them electronically.
The most common media for storage is a hard disk drive
as used in most PCs’, however CCTV’s can
also be stored on a standalone black box.
The DVRs can be controlled at any location worldwide.
Any recordings can be played back through the Internet
using Internet Browser or Client software, this allows
you to view your premises from anywhere in the world.
Additionally, any PTZ cameras can be controlled remotely,
over the internet.
CCTV on a PC DVR has the following advantages:
- The software allows many configurations
for monitoring e.g. quad display
- Records in real time, simultaneously
from all cameras
- Time and date stamping with motion
detect
- Alert wizard, send email with photo
or video clip,
- Mobile phone alert with voice,
- SMS alert
- Audio alert
- MMS alert
- Remote monitoring from another PC through
Client Software, Internet Explorer or Pocket PC
- Connect to Alarm panel
- Low- cost all-in-one solution does
away with the need for separate motion detect, splitters,
quads or multiplexers.
System Force IT believes this technology is at the
forefront of CCTV technology, allowing many companies
to record and retain images for the purpose of crime
prevention. Being able to access your premises worldwide,
gives you a peace of mind that you’re always protected.
